How Pricing Works at MedExpress Canada
MedExpress Canada pricing is broken down into two components per order to ensure transparent, fully supported clinical care:
Medication Cost: The cost of the physical treatment. Pricing varies depending on the specific medication, strength, and dose prescribed by your clinician.
Program Fee: A separate fee charged per order that covers the clinical and operational management of your care.
What Does the Program Fee Cover?
A thorough medical review of your health questionnaire by a licensed Canadian healthcare professional to ensure treatment safety and suitability.
The formal issuance of your prescription where clinically appropriate.
Ongoing clinical guidance, medical review, and customer support throughout your treatment journey.
Why Has the Price Changed Since My Last Order?
If the price of your current order differs from a previous purchase or an advertised rate, it is typically due to one of the following factors:
Dosage Adjustments: As you progress through treatment (such as GLP-1 titration schedules), higher dosage strengths may have a different medication cost than starting doses.
First-Order or Promotional Discounts: Introductory promotional pricing and new-customer discounts apply exclusively to a patient's very first order. Subsequent reorders automatically adjust to standard pricing.
Promotion Eligibility and Stacking: Special promotional codes, referral credits, and marketing offers cannot be combined ("stacked") on a single order. If an applied offer is invalid or ineligible for your account status, checkout will default to the standard price.
Manufacturer or Operational Updates: Medication pricing may occasionally update due to supply availability, changes in manufacturer costs, or shift in operational expenses.
Note: The total displayed at checkout always reflects the final, confirmed price for your specific order at that time.
What Happens If I'm Overcharged?
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, billed twice, or that a promotional discount was not properly applied to your order, please reach out directly to the Customer Care team. Our team will review your account history, verify the billing details, and process any applicable adjustments or refunds promptly.
How Do I Request a Receipt or Invoice?
If you require an itemized receipt or invoice for your records, tax purposes, or insurance submission, contact Customer Care with your order details. A representative will generate and issue an official receipt confirming your medication cost and program fee details.
Private Insurance and Prior Authorization (PA) Coverage
Public Health Insurance: MedExpress Canada services and treatments are not covered by provincial publicly funded health plans.
Private Insurance Reimbursement: Private health insurance plans may cover some or all of your medication costs, depending on your individual policy provider. Because MedExpress Canada does not submit direct pharmacy claims to insurance providers, you must submit paid receipts to your insurer for reimbursement.
Prior Authorization (PA) Forms: If your insurer covers your treatment but requires a clinician-completed Prior Authorization (PA) form, our clinical team can complete and submit the required documentation to support your claim. Contact Customer Care to request PA support.
