Understanding MedExpress Canada Account Credit

Use this article to learn about the different types of account credit available at MedExpress Canada, credit expiration rules, how credits are automatically applied at checkout, and how to check your credit balance.

Use this article when you want to:

  • Understand which credits expire and which do not.

  • Check how credits apply automatically during checkout.

  • Learn about the "Refer and save $59 CAD" referral reward scheme.

  • Locate your available credit balance.

Non-Expiring Account Credit

Certain credits added to your MedExpress Canada account do not expire and will remain on your account balance until fully used:

  • Goodwill Credit: Issued directly by a MedExpress Canada support representative as part of a service resolution.

  • Cancellation Credit: Applied when a refund is issued as account credit instead of returning funds directly to your original payment method.

Because these funds relate directly to service resolutions or your own monetary refunds, they do not expire.

Promotional and Referral Credit

Credits issued through promotional campaigns or referral programs are designed for use within a specific timeframe:

  • Referral Credit: Earned by participating in the referral program ("Refer and save $59 CAD") when you invite friends and family to MedExpress Canada.

  • Promotional Credit: Applied as part of special marketing offers or campaign rewards.

Referral and promotional credits expire 12 months from the date they are issued to your account.

How Account Credit Is Applied at Checkout

Account credits are managed and applied automatically by the MedExpress Canada checkout system:

  • Automatic Deduction: Available credit is applied automatically to your order total at checkout. You cannot choose to save or delay using your account credit.

  • Priority Order: If you have multiple types of credit on your account, the system automatically applies credits with the earliest expiry date first.

How Credit Appears on Your Receipt

When account credit is used towards an order:

  • Credit is deducted directly from the total payable amount before payment processing occurs.

  • Credit does not appear as a separate line item on your final order receipt.

  • Your receipt will reflect the net amount paid after the credit balance was applied.

Finding Your Credit Balance

You can view your available credit balance at any time through your account:

  2. Go to your Account Dashboard.
