What Supplies Are Included with My Order?
To ensure safe and compliant treatment, MedExpress Canada orders include essential administration supplies:
Needles: Included with every order. For treatments like Wegovy® and Ozempic®, disposable needles (NovoFine® Plus) are packed inside the manufacturer's box. For treatments such as Mounjaro®, Zepbound®, and Generic Semaglutide, compatible needles are provided separately within your delivery parcel.
Alcohol Wipes: Included with every order to sanitize the injection site prior to administration.
Sharps Bin: Automatically included with your 1st order and your 6th order to support safe needle collection and disposal throughout your treatment journey.
Compatible Needle Specifications by Medication
All GLP-1 injectable medications use ultra-fine, single-use, subcutaneous pen needles. Using the correct size ensures comfortable and safe administration:
1. Mounjaro® and Zepbound® (KwikPen®)
Supply Method: Provided separately in your shipment parcel.
Compatibility Standard: ISO 11608-2 compliant pen needles.
Compatible Gauge: 29G to 34G (commonly 31G or 32G).
Compatible Length: 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, or 8 mm (maximum recommended length is 8 mm).
2. Wegovy® and Ozempic® (FlexTouch®)
Supply Method: Packed inside the manufacturer's box (NovoFine® Plus).
Compatible Brands: NovoFine® Plus, NovoFine®, or NovoTwist® disposable needles.
Compatible Gauge: 30G, 31G, or 32G.
Compatible Length: 4 mm to 8 mm (maximum recommended length is 8 mm).
3. Generic Semaglutide
Supply Method: Provided separately in your shipment parcel.
Compatible Gauge: 29G to 32G standard subcutaneous pen needles.
Compatible Length: 4 mm to 6 mm.
Note: Needle length or gauge does not change the effectiveness of your medication.
What to Do If Supplies Are Missing or Damaged
If your delivery arrives missing needles, alcohol wipes, or an expected sharps bin:
Verify Your Parcel: Check all outer packaging and manufacturer boxes thoroughly. (For Wegovy® and Ozempic®, check inside the main medication box for the enclosed needle pack).
Contact Customer Care: If any required items are missing or damaged upon delivery, contact Customer Care immediately with your order details.
Replacement Processing: Our team will submit a request to the dispensing pharmacy to have a replacement pack of supplies dispatched directly to your shipping address.
Note: Replacements for missing items apply to delivery discrepancies upon arrival. If needles or supplies are lost, misplaced, or discarded after a successful delivery, replacement supplies must be sourced independently at a local pharmacy.
Essential Safety and Handling Rules
Single-Use Only: Always use a fresh, sterile needle for every weekly injection. Reusing needles can cause pain, blockages, inaccurate dosing, or localized skin infections.
Never Store Pens with Needles Attached: Always unscrew and remove the needle immediately after completing your injection before placing the pen cap back on.
Safe Disposal: Dispose of used needles immediately into your official sharps bin after each dose. Once full, take the sealed sharps bin to a local Canadian pharmacy for proper hazardous waste disposal. Never dispose of needles or sharps bins in regular household waste.
