MedExpress clinical support is not an emergency medical service. Our team cannot manage acute medical emergencies or provide immediate after-hours critical care.

When to Seek Immediate Emergency Care

If you experience any of the following critical symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately—do not wait for a response from MedExpress:

  • Signs of a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), such as difficulty breathing, wheezing, or sudden swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.

  • Chest pain, severe pressure, or shortness of breath (including chest pain during or after sexual activity).

  • An erection lasting longer than 4 hours (priapism).

  • Sudden, severe loss of vision or sudden hearing loss.

  • Severe, persistent abdominal pain with or without nausea and vomiting (which could indicate acute pancreatitis).
